Megan Irby
Megan Irby’s passion for horses started at an early age and in 2004 her opportunity to begin working with horses arrived. Knowing the importance of higher education, she attended the University of Montana- Western, in Dillon, MT, to gain more knowledge and skill set pertaining to horse training.
In 2008, Megan graduated with a Bachelor degree in Natural Horsemanship- Management. The program covered a variety of methods including Parelli, Ray Hunt, Tom Dorrance, and Buck Brannaman. Megan spends her time providing lessons, training, and clinics. The love for horses that she passed to her son, Gavin, has blossomed into new adventures for both of them. In 2014, Gavin began competing at the Jr. Rodeos in and around the Boise area. He won his first belt buckle at the Crouch Jr. Rodeo. The two of them have continued the adventures over the years and have made a lot of new friends a long the way. Gavin still competes in rodeos and has started to work with horses along side Megan. |

Gavin Hardy
Gavin Hardy is an amazing young man with a natural gift of working with horses. He has been around horses his whole life and started riding at a very young age. At the age of 4, he began to compete at rodeo competitions and help his mom with lessons where ever he could.
As his abilities have grown, opportunities to train horses has given helped define him as a horseman. He currently still helps with lessons, but also has done tune ups and yearling ground work training. He has added reining, mounted shooting, working ranch, and trail competitions to his schedule along with the rodeos. In 2020, Gavin competed in the Equine Trail Sports Northwest Region Novice division at the state and regional levels. He competed against adults and youth throughout the summer in Idaho and Oregon. At the State level, Gavin earned the Youth Partnership award in Mountain Dessert series and Blue Sky series (Bend, OR). He also finished overall in 3rd place in both series. His hard work earned him a qualifier spot in the Northwest Regional finals in October. He earned his biggest achievement yet when he came home with 1st place in the Northwest Region, earning the 2020 Northwest Region Youth Partnership award, and finishing 3rd place in the nation. We look forward to seeing this young man and the big dreams he will reach for in the years to come! |
